Eventu was born from the challenges faced during the organization of Semana da Engenharia (Engineering Week), a student-run conference at a Brazilian university. After experiencing a major system failure that erased attendees' schedules, I partnered with Gustavo Stork to develop a comprehensive event management platform. Eventu aimed to solve common issues in academic events organization, including ticket sales, schedule management, and attendee engagement.
The project was put to the test during the following year's Engineering Week, facing its own set of challenges with optimization and server load. Through persistence and quick problem-solving, we managed to create a functional system that not only prevented past disasters but also improved the overall experience for both organizers and attendees. This project served three editions of the Semana da Engenharia and two editions of Conbea. Eventu was discontinued during the Covid-19 pandemic.
